Use EPUB Fixer for authorized EPUB scans only.
These terms cover the current scan workflow: upload an EPUB you are allowed to test, read the report, and decide whether to retry KDP, Kindle Previewer, or EPUBCheck.
What the scan means
A report can help you retry, but it cannot guarantee approval.
- Use EPUB Fixer only with EPUB files you own or are authorized to test.
- Do not upload EPUB files you are not allowed to process, including copied books, shared files, DRM-protected files, or encrypted files that you do not control.
- You keep your rights in the EPUB you upload. EPUB Fixer only uses the file to run the scan, create the report, attempt supported repairs, and revalidate the repaired EPUB when available.
- Scan reports help you understand EPUB structure problems, but they do not guarantee KDP, Kindle Previewer, EPUBCheck, or other publishing-platform acceptance.
- EPUB Fixer is limited to EPUB structure checks and does not provide legal, publishing, editorial, formatting, tax, payment, or account advice.
- Uploaded files and scan results are temporary, expire automatically, and can also be deleted from the result page.
- Deleting or expiring an upload removes the temporary scan files from EPUB Fixer, but it does not resolve any copyright, publishing, platform, or third-party dispute about the EPUB.
- EPUB Fixer is provided as an independent tool and is not affiliated with Amazon, Kindle Direct Publishing, or EPUBCheck.
When to use it
Use it only for EPUB files you can legally test.
- Upload only EPUB files you own, manage, or are authorized to test for validation errors.
- Do not use EPUB Fixer to remove DRM, bypass encryption, recover books you are not allowed to handle, or process files from someone else's account without permission.
- Treat the report as a technical explanation for the uploaded EPUB package, not publishing, legal, tax, or marketplace advice.
- Retry KDP, Kindle Previewer, or EPUBCheck yourself after reviewing any repaired file.
